Keynote Speaker

Professor Toru Ishida is the keynote of this year’s AW4City. He has been a professor of Kyoto University since 1993. Before that he was a research scientist at NTT Laboratories, while he created Kyoto University Design School with his colleagues in Informatics, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Management and Psychology. The school started in April 2013.
He has developed several projects and publications, among which worth mentioning Digital City Kyoto (http://www.ai.soc.i.kyoto-u.ac.jp/digitalcity/home-e.html), which was started in 1998 and ended in 2004.
About AW4City

Following up the success of past events at WWW2015 and WWW2016, AW4City 2017 aims to keep on attracting a significant international attention with regard to web applications for smart cities.
